What is Microsoft Bing?

Microsoft Bing commonly known as Bing, is Microsoft's own solution for a search engine.


This is much of predecessor to Microsoft's old search engines, MSN search and Live search. Bing was announced on May 28, 2009 and as rebranded to Microsoft Bing, a couple of months before.

Bing has a translator feature that can translate more than 70 different languages.

· Bing Predicts

Bing Predicts is a feature, inspired by weather forecasts, that can predict the winners of any competition. This has achieved a max accuracy of 80% but has made some noble fails, like predicting Hillary Clinton to win in the 2016 US elections for example.

· Bing News

Bing News is a news aggregator / feed directly connected to the search engine. 





Bing is ranked as the third most popular search engine with more than 4% of search queries but falls far behind Google which has 77% and Baidu with about 15%.
